Iron Man 31 245x133 Iron Man 3 (Official Trailer)It’s finally here, the first look at the second run of The Avengers films. Of course we start off with the fantastic Robert Downey Jr in the third outing for Iron Man. This time around though, things are looking a lot darker for Tony Stark. The “Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” this time seems to be cut down in size. In a living nightmare. One major excitement which is drawn from the trailer is the first look at Ben Kingsley, as the fantastic Iron Man antagonist The Mandarin, quite possibly one of the most exciting characters that could have been released in the Iron Man series. For those that don’t know, the Mandarin is the holder of 10 rings, which he wears at all time, these rings hold mystical powers, including the likes of matter disruption. The Mandarin has also had a major interest in another portion of the film. Mandarin has also been teased throughout the series. The one major tease was the name of the terrorist group which abducted Tony Stark in the first film, “The Ten Rings”.

Although, this film isn’t all about Stark’s battle with the Mandarin, but also a battle with himself. Who is he really? Who is the man  in the suit? This leads to some incredible turns for Stark, in the Extremis story arc which the film is drawing upon. Also, we’re shown for the first time, Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hill, as the two leading scientists in the Extremis company.

This definitely seems like it has the making to become the best Iron Man film yet in the series. Also, if you’re a fan of all things super heroes, you don’t have much time to wait to get your next fix of Thor, coming out November 2013.
