Last week we saw the first official posters regarding The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which saw Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) looking rather dismal in the Capitol’s finest attire. Now, Lionsgate have released more fashion-induced character posters in the way of Stanley Tucci’s Caesar Flickerman and Elizabeth Banks’s Effie Trinket donning extravagant clothes. Take a look below!
These banners are not like what we have seen before. In fact they look like they have come fresh off the press from some prestigious Capitol fashion magazine. Even though the characters are wearing the finest of clothes, the facial expressions still seem a little serious. The green tones and dark setting seem to reflect the overall feel to Catching Fire… nature and doom.
The film, starring now Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, will see Peeta and Katniss going on the standard Captiol victory tour. However, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) has a few evil tricks up his sleeve and presents a new Hunger Games with a difference. The Quarter Quell will see Katniss, Peeta and all the other district victors forced back into the arena to fight to the death… yet again. Harsh right?
Starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Donald Sutherland and Liam Hemsworth, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will shoot its way to the cinema screens on November 22nd.
