Vigilante is one of those rare breed of artists who can not be contained into one genre of music. With music that crosses over R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Rap and Bhangra, there’s no denying that a Vigilante track offers the listener a lot.
With latest single ‘Gimme Some Room‘ about to drop, we caught up with Vigilante to discuss the single and much more.
HTF: Hi Vigilante, thanks for taking the time to speak to us at Hit The Floor. How are you?
Vigilante: Hellooo (Big Smile)… Im very well thank you… Urself?
HTF: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Vigilante: IM ABOUT IT!!! LOOOL
HTF: Your latest single ‘Gimme Some Room’ is due to drop on December 26th, for those that have not heard it yet, how would you describe it?
Vigilante: A breath of fresh air with a real twist of that old school hiphop…
HTF: What has the reception been like for the single?
Vigilante: Immense… Nothing but positive feed back so far from industry heads and the public… Im very happy with the results so far…
HTF: Will it form part of a mixtape/album?
Vigilante: Potentally an album
HTF: We’ve heard rumours that you will be supporting J.Cole on his 2012 nationwide tour, how did that come about?
Vigilante: My management and his management work closely together and there have been talks, but you will have to wait and see… 2012 has a lot of big things to come from me
HTF: Here at Hit The Floor, we’re big fans of J.Cole, what would you say is your favourite J.Cole track?
Vigilante: Im a massive J.Cole fan myself… I’ve got more then a few favourites lol… I’d have to say Work Out and Nobodys Perfect feat Missy…
HTF: When your not working on your music what do you like to do to unwind?
Vigilante: A lil drink, sum light music, good company and good food ( I like to eat) I know it dont show lol…
HTF: Other than touring with J.Cole next year, what else do you have in store?
Vigilante: Im just working on music… You will see a lot more of me mainstream wise, I’m also working on a few collaborations within the Asian scene as well, so like I said got A LOT of work and great music to come next year!
