Amongst the excitement and buzz surrounding this year’s Grammy Awards is a little animosity from Justin Bieber. The global teen pop sensation did not receive a single nomination for the 2013 ceremony, much to manager Scoot Braun’s dismay, previously slamming the awards for their choices.
The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney commented on the situation exclaiming ‘Grammys are, like, for music, not for money, and he’s making a lot of money. I don’t know – he should be happy, I guess.’ In response, Bieber tweeted that the drummer should be ‘slapped around’.
The Black Keys had an amazing night, winning ‘Best Rock Performance’, ‘Best Rock Song‘ and ‘Best Rock Album’, with Dan Auerbach also being honoured in the ‘Producer of the Year (Non-Classical)’ category.
