According to Grunge Queen, Courtney Love, she has had nothing but orgasms since the debut of Hedi Slimane’s A/W13-14 collection for Saint Laurent. The new collection, which undergo criticism due to branching away from the fashion brand’s more classic and traditional image, interpreted Love’s and late husband Kurt Cobain’s ‘hot mess’ look during Paris Fashion Week.

“I love it” said Courtney in a Facebook chat with Julie Zerbo from The Fashion’s Law. “It reminds me of Value Village” she continued. For those of you who don’t know Value Village is a chain of thift stores in America. Sources say, Courtney’s loves the collection since it has been able to capture the essence of Value Village by channelling the spirit of genuine teen grunge. And she’s right! The only difference being the designer has incorporated an extra luxurious finish to the pieces with sequins, soft fabrics and crystal studs. Perfect for modern day hipsters.

Unlike some of the industry’s biggest fashion names, including Booth Moore from the LA Times, Love preferred Slimane’s collection in contrast to fellow designers Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui, stating:

“Hedi is a genius, no offense to MJ [Marc Jacobs] but he never got it right. This is what it really was. Hedi knows his shit. He got it accurate, and MJ and Anna [Sui] did not.” Oooh! Love didn’t say why Jacobs garments never met her fashion needs, but you can check out his new collection below:
