Band: We The Divide
Release: Jar Of Dirt (Single)
Since reviewing a live show last summer, HTF were eager to catch up with small-town band We The Divide, just to see how much had changed. Well well well… what a surprise! They’ve definitely progressed with their music style, bringing it to a more modern style of hardcore metal, whilst still keeping the ultimately heavy riffs and screams.
As soon as the song hits play, the Parkway Drive-esque vocals kick in, with powerful backing. ‘Jar Of Dirt’ has mixed everything good about metal into one: the chest-ripping vocals, chugging guitar riffs, gang vocals, a very pit-worthy breakdown and even a little melodic break. Wow boys, good job!
It’s actually amazing how much they’ve improved with the new recordings. They’ve kept the best bits and just enhanced them, making We The Divide sound like a band that’s been on the road for a few years instead of being relatively new.
HTF can’t wait to hear the rest! Hurry up!
