Darwin Deez Announces UK Tour And New Video

Sometimes you want to snooze your alarm for 15 minutes. Sometimes you want to throw your alarm against a wall and go back to sleep altogether. Darwin Deez can relate to your 9-5 nonsense and he shouts it loud and proud in his new single ‘Free! (The Editorial Me)!’

The video’s a play on ‘Groundhog Day’ (Note to self Lauren, you need to rent this movie already- you’re quickly losing your street cred) and shows the bored-as-hell Deez trading in his ennui for a chance to be, well, free. Since the majority of twenty-somethings are all tired and poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free, Darwin is going to give you a break from occupational jail by bringing his relatable spaztastic pop your way. After all there’s no better bonding experience than singing and sweating it out with complete strangers.

It’s set to be one hell of an emancipation proclamation to promo his highly anticipated forthcoming release ‘Songs For Imaginative People‘ due out February 11, 2013! If you haven’t had the chance to see D-squared live yet, it’s a show not to be missed.

Hit The Floor scoped him at the Satellite in Los Angeles and the set included but was not limited to choreographed dances, a mid-set freestyle rap (in-flipping-sane,) and an energy so potent the entire crowd contracted a contact high. If you’re brave enough to step out onto the dance floor and bust a move to one of the songs though, it’s survival of the fittest style. You’ve been warned.
