Band: Sound Of Guns
Album: Angels and Enemies
Release: 05/03/12
Following the earlier release of their debut EP ‘Silicon’ in January this year, Sound Of Guns are set to release their album ‘Angels and Enemies’ on March 5th.
The ten track album features nine brand new songs along with the familiar track ‘Silicon’ from the previous EP and their new single ‘Sometimes’ which was previously saw the release of its official music video.
Kicking off the album is their latest single ‘Sometimes’ which features elegant piano’s followed by fast-paced, raunchy guitar riffs. The combination of keys and heavy, deep guitars and throaty vocals make this a magnificent rock tune. The gang vocals are a nice touch and the anthemic sing along lyrics really get your head banging.
‘Antarctica’ has a slow and elegant start with softer, lighter vocals but then kicks in with a power ballad type chorus; whereas ‘The Oceans, The Seas, The Rivers’ starts with a delicate music box, followed by loud guitars and heavy drum beats.
The most energetic and powerful song on the album is ‘End Of The World’ which delivers fast drum beats and climatic bridges, leading to a loud and exhilarating chorus.
There is so much diversity with this album, and every song is different. To me, that makes a great album. Each and every song has been beautifully recorded and put together.
This is definitely an album we would recommend you got this year.
